Overview
A practical, advanced clinical roadmap for early recognition and emergency management of Lemierre’s Syndrome, also known as septic thrombophlebitis of the internal jugular vein. This is a rare but dangerous syndrome that often affects previously healthy adolescents and young adults after what initially looks like an ordinary sore throat, then evolves into bacteremia, septic pulmonary emboli, and potentially multi-organ deterioration.
