📋 Subscription Policy — Dalil-ENT

This policy explains the subscription terms and use of digital content on dalilent.com. By using the Site, you agree to the terms below to the extent permitted by the law in your country of residence.

👤Individual Subscription
  • Limited free section available (some parts require a temporary free code valid 24 hrs/week).
  • 1-Month: No auto-renewal · Non-refundable after activation.
  • Annual (12 months): From activation date · No auto-renewal.
🏥Institutional Subscriptions

Dalil-ENT offers collective guarantee contracts for hospitals, universities, and training programs. If your institution has signed an agreement with Dalil-ENT, your account is governed by that institutional agreement — not individual subscription terms. Contact your coordinator for details.

⚠ Important — Read Before Subscribing
  • No full refund after activation: Once access to protected content is opened, we do not provide a full refund except for a clear technical failure on our side unresolved within a reasonable timeframe. (See Section 7)
  • Longer plans are for those who are sure: If unsure the content fits your needs, we recommend not choosing a long plan.
  • No auto-renewal: When the period ends, access stops automatically. No additional charges unless you manually purchase a new plan.
  • Low usage or dissatisfaction is not a refund reason as long as content was available and accessible.
  • Password is your responsibility: Stored encrypted — we cannot see it. Losing or sharing it creates no additional refund entitlement.
  • One active session at a time: Logging in on a new device may log out other sessions — not a technical defect or refund reason.

Section 1

Service Definition

  1. dalilent.com is a digital educational platform focused on emergency ENT content, operated by Global Rhino AB, registered in Sweden.
  2. A subscription grants access to protected digital content (texts, on-call sheets, MCQ question bank, tools and calculators) for educational/training purposes only — not a substitute for individual clinical assessment or official protocols.
🔑
Section 2

Nature of Subscription & Digital Content

  1. All subscriptions are prepaid digital subscriptions, activated after payment is confirmed through Stripe / PayPal or other methods shown on the subscription page.
  2. No physical product is shipped or returned. The subscription grants access to digital materials during the specified period while the account is active and terms are not violated.
  3. Access requires a personal username/email and password. Account sharing is prohibited.
📦
Section 3

Subscription Types

The platform currently offers the following plans (names and prices may change; the price shown at the time of payment is always the applicable price):

  1. Annual subscription: 12 months from the activation date.
  2. 1-month subscription: Non-refundable after activation. The monthly price serves as the reference rate in any partial refund calculation.

Institutional subscribers: If your account is activated through a collective guarantee agreement, the subscription type, duration, and renewal conditions are defined by that institutional contract, not the individual plans above.

All plans do not auto-renew. Access to protected content stops automatically at the end of the period. No charge is made unless you explicitly purchase a new plan.

Section 4

Activation & Access

  1. Subscription is activated after successful payment confirmation via Stripe / PayPal, or confirmation of manual transfer (if available).
  2. You may receive by email:
    • A subscription/payment confirmation message.
    • A link to set/update your password (or a reminder to use “Forgot password”).
  3. The subscription is considered active from the moment you can log in and access protected content, even if you do not log in immediately after paying.
🔐
Section 5

Account Security, Password & Session Usage

  1. You are fully responsible for keeping login credentials confidential. Do not share them with any third party. Use a strong password and avoid reusing it across other services.
  2. Passwords are stored in hashed/encrypted form. We cannot view your original password. Reset it anytime via the “Forgot password” link.
  3. dalilent.com is not responsible for unauthorized use resulting from:
    • Sharing the password with colleagues, friends, or family.
    • Saving the password on a shared device/browser without proper protection.
    • Using devices infected with malware or keyloggers.
    • Falling for phishing messages falsely claiming to be from the site or payment provider.
    • Reusing a password later exposed in a breach of another service.
  4. If you suspect unauthorized access, immediately: change your password, avoid reusing old passwords, and contact support with full details.
  5. You may request account suspension if credentials are suspected stolen. However, any refund request remains strictly subject to Section 7 — suspicion of compromise does not automatically create a right to a full or additional refund.
  6. dalilent.com applies a “one active session at a time” approach: logging in on a new device may auto-log you out elsewhere. Session interruption is not a technical fault or refund reason.
  7. If our technical logs (login times/IPs) conflict with a user claim of non-use or non-sharing, our logs may be relied upon to the extent permitted by law.
🚫
Section 6

Account Sharing & Misuse

  1. Accounts are personal. Sharing credentials, selling the account, or transferring it is a clear violation of this policy.
  2. If misuse is detected or suspected, dalilent.com may:
    • Temporarily or permanently suspend account access.
    • Reject any refund request connected to an account used in violation of these terms.
    • Request identity verification before processing financial or account-change requests.

Section 7

Refund Policy

Partial refunds are an exception, not an automatic right. In limited exceptional cases only, a partial refund may be requested if a major technical failure is proven to be caused by the service provider. If management approves, it is calculated using the “monthly consumption” method below — a theoretical maximum that does not obligate the platform to grant a refund in every case.

  • Cancellation notice requires a full month: If management agrees to consider early cancellation, you must send the written request at least one full month in advance. The date we receive the request is the starting point; one full month after that counts as an additional consumed period.
  • Any partial month counts as a full month: Even if usage was only a day or a few days.
7.1 — General Rules
  1. This policy governs commercial refund handling for digital subscriptions and applies to the extent it does not conflict with mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
  2. Once access to protected digital content is activated, we do not offer a full refund except where a clear technical defect attributable to us cannot be fixed within a reasonable timeframe.
  3. Any refund (if granted) is returned to the same payment method where possible and in the same currency; some gateway fees may be non-refundable.
  4. Refund decisions are solely at management discretion. Formulas and examples do not constitute a contractual commitment to refund in every case.
7.2 — Partial Refund Calculation Method

The 1-month plan is non-refundable (partial or full) once activated.

The annual plan: A partial refund may be considered only if a major technical failure is proven to be caused by the service provider.

  1. Service end date for calculation: no earlier than 30 days after we receive your written cancellation request. Both the request month and the notice month are treated as fully consumed.
  2. Number of started months from activation to the calculation end date (any partial month = full month).
  3. We use the standard monthly subscription price at time of purchase.
  4. Consumed value = started months × standard monthly price.
  5. Theoretical refundable amount = plan price paid − consumed value.
  6. If the result is ≤ 0 → no refund is due, even if time remains on the subscription.
  7. If the result is positive → management may refund that amount in full or part, after deducting fixed gateway fees.

The formulas and examples above are an internal guidance framework and do not, by themselves, create an acquired right to a refund. The final decision remains within the authority of dalilent.com management/board and within what the law permits.

Note: submitting a refund request does not automatically mean approval; it only allows the possibility of reviewing a partial refund request, with the final decision remaining with management.

Sections 8–10

Technical Issues · Usage Logs · Taxes & Fees

8 — Technical Issues
  1. If a technical issue completely prevents login or access to paid content, contact us via the Contact page with a clear description and screenshots if possible.
  2. If the issue is proven to be on our side and cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, a partial or full refund may be discussed based on the unusable period.
  3. Issues caused by your internet connection, browser settings, workplace/hospital network restrictions, or device problems are not considered technical defects on dalilent.com’s side.
9 — Usage Logs & Platform Protection
  1. For security and service verification, we may keep limited technical logs: last login date/time, login count, and IP address (non-precise geographic form).
  2. These logs are not used for marketing. They protect the platform from abuse/fraud and clarify service access when evaluating refund requests or disputes.
  3. We retain logs for no longer than 12 months for inactive accounts, then delete them automatically, or sooner upon request where permitted by law.
10 — Taxes & Bank Fees
  1. Prices are displayed in a specific currency (e.g., EUR or SEK). If your card uses a different currency, your bank may apply conversion fees independent of dalilent.com; you bear these fully.
  2. If laws in your country impose additional taxes or digital sales fees, that responsibility may fall on you unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Sections 11–13

Payment Disputes · Liability · Governing Law

11 — Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
  1. Before opening a dispute or chargeback through PayPal/Stripe or your bank, first attempt to resolve the issue directly via the Contact page. Many issues can be resolved without financial escalation.
  2. dalilent.com may suspend or restrict account access while investigating any financial dispute, especially if usage logs indicate that protected content was accessed.
  3. You agree that our usage logs may be used to prove service delivery to payment gateways or relevant parties, to the extent permitted by law.
  4. Opening an unjustified dispute that clearly conflicts with this policy may lead to permanent account termination and refusal of future subscriptions.
12 — Limitation of Liability & Medical Content Nature
  1. Content and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties about fitness for a particular purpose or compatibility with your hospital protocols.
  2. Medical/educational content supports learning and clinical reasoning. It is not a substitute for individual clinical assessment, team decisions, or national/local guidelines. The clinician/user remains fully responsible for real-world decisions.
  3. dalilent.com, its owner/management, and staff are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, or damages arising from reliance on content or temporary inability to access the Site.
  4. We are not responsible for issues outside our control: weak internet, device failures, hospital network blocks, browser conflicts, or force majeure events.
13 — Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  1. This platform is operated by Global Rhino AB, registered in Sweden. Subject to mandatory consumer rights in your country, this policy is governed by Swedish law.
  2. We always prefer amicable resolution. If not possible, disputes may be referred to competent courts in Sweden, unless mandatory consumer law requires another jurisdiction.
  3. If any clause is deemed invalid, remaining clauses remain valid and the invalid clause is replaced with the lawful clause closest to the original intent.
