Overview
The SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) algorithm is an internationally endorsed, standardized communication framework designed to reduce ambiguity in critical clinical handoffs. Its purpose is not simply to make communication shorter. Its real value is to make clinical communication safer, sharper, and more actionable.
