Overview
A practical, academically grounded emergency approach to acute hoarseness, stridor, viral croup, epiglottitis, bacterial tracheitis, diphtheria, foreign body aspiration, and laryngeal edema. This card is designed for the ED and ENT on-call clinician, because upper airway emergencies rarely give generous time for hesitation: a patient may look temporarily stable, then collapse within minutes if agitated or if airway control is delayed.
